Introduction to automobile aftermarket
The automobile aftermarket refers to the services offered in the use process of automobile after it is sold; it covers all services needed by consumer after automobile is bought. In other words, the automobile aftermarket is the generic term of a series of transaction activities arising from various subsequent demands and services encircling the after-sales and use of automobile in the whole course from the one when the automobile is sold to the one when the automobile is scrapped.
The automobile aftermarket has different definitions. To sum up, there are three main definitions, i.e.: firstly, it refers to the expense, repair, maintenance, part and component, detailing and care, rebuilding, oil and other services related to automobile in its use process; secondly, it refers to the services needed by automobile owner after it is sold; thirdly, it refers to the integral part of automobile industrial chain, including financial service, automobile lease, insurance, advertisement, decoration, maintenance, repair and upkeep in the automobile sales field, oil, driving school, parking lot, automobile fan club, first aid system, traffic information service, second-hand vehicle etc., automobile and its parts and components logistics etc.
